The Story Behind the Business
Of course, it started with a calling… and a mother-daughter duo.
Kathy and Zoey both went to the Stretch to Win Institute in Chandler, AZ to be trained in Level 1 & Level 2 Fascial Stretch Therapy (May 2021 & April 2022) - and the dream to open a business together was born.
They originally started their business of movement as West Michigan Specialized Stretch in 2022: co-founded by the mother-daughter duo!
After over a year of working with their wonderful clients and flowing in the direction of their callings, Kathy and Zoey were able to relaunch their dreams in a new light.
Kathy opened Great Lakes School of Massage with a passion ignited by encouraging her students to succeed; and Zoey launched Michigan Optimal Movement Center with a new focus on combining specialized techniques for optimal mobility and client success.
Their pivot moment came at a peak time of surrender and committing to follow God's plans, and it has been an amazing journey - with even more wonders to come!

My hope is that I consistently show up every single day with this as my foundation for you, serving from an overflowing cup, to ultimately help you reach your wellness goals and reclaim your life through freedom of movement. The journey of healing can be heavy and rough, but also beautiful and inspiring for generations to come. Through our partnership, you will know that you can do this, that you can be consistent in showing up for healing, and that all of your hard work and digging deep paid off.

At our center, we offer the open opportunity to include prayer in your session upon request, ensuring absolute respect and a non-judgmental atmosphere. We acknowledge that pain can feel insurmountable at times, and we truly believe in the power of prayer - we have witnessed and felt its impact on our lives firsthand, and that is why it is offered in our space.
If you feel moved to do so, simply let us know if you would like to include prayer in your session, and we will honor your request with compassion and respect. Whether it's a quiet moment at the end of your session, or a verbalized prayer, we want to encourage you that prayer requests are always warmly welcomed.

What's With The Logo?
Life can be a rough journey at times, yet there’s such a profound comfort and indescribable peace that I have found in discovering and following God. He is the foundation of my entire life - and it made perfect sense for Him to be the true foundation of this business.
Psalm 95:1-5 speaks to God’s vastness and magnificence, and quite frankly, it’s a verse that fires me up!
God has completely transformed my life, and I know that being a light to others through this business is my calling.
My hope is to be a light for everyone I am able to reach by using my skills and passion for wellness to help others - encouraging them along their wellness journeys in the ways that I am able through a combination of specialized techniques and truly being present.
